Gunther has been commissioned to arrange some of Julie's most famous songs for a small orchestra setting to frame her personal appearance at the Hilton Hotel in Chicago on November 17, 2005.
Gunther will also be the music director and pianist for this performance. This performance will be for a selected audience only.

Rhapsody In Blue

Thomas Gunther has been commissioned to write his own unique rendition of George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue for the Chicago Jazz Ensemble.

Gershwin was only 24 years old when he composed this master piece. The Rhapsody In Blue became one of the most celebrated works of the last century, the first truly American concert piece of its time.

Gunther's arrangement of Rhapsody in Blue was received with great enthusiasm and praise by some 2,000 audience members on October 1st, 2005 at Wheaton College. The ensemble was honored with a standing ovation.
